I haven't tested this new setup extensively and maybe the problem is coming from this. When I moved them apart I ran out of cable length so had to put each one on separate cable. I did this for ventilation purposes as the two hds were stacked together to fit into the computer case. The game is installed and run from primary hd on its own cable. I then moved primary hd to its own cable and my backup hd to the cable that cdrom uses. I had two harddrives hooked up to a single cable then cdrom on separate cable. I have one more thing to look over and that is again to switch around the two harddrives I use the way they were. I use an onboard sound of the fic ad11 board. I'll try tweaking the sound tomorrow to see if that will improve things. I rather they would make a shortcut to it from within the programs group. Interestingly I also found game pdf manual on the cd itself. Those patches you provided are the same thing? So I don't have to then download the patch? I have looked in the ss2 readme file for any info and in the multiplayer section they wrote that ss2 I bought is already patched and has the multiplayer component included.
